  • The age of the child at the time of intervention - the earlier the intervention the more effective Kara can be.

  • The level of parental involvement and participation – support from home for the Kara team is an essential component for success.

  • The intensity of the programme and attendance history – a minimum 80% attendance at Kara is required.

  • The degree of disability – the diagnosis and prognosis and the subsequent success criterion as set by Kara.
